Mama’s Caramel Apple Dessert Shots

Caramel Apple Dessert Shots | Little Kitchen, Big Bites

It’s a little weird to start a post title with the word “mama” and end it with the word “shots.”  They don’t really go together.  Unless we’re talking dessert shots.  Then, she’s the master.  Before I get into the actual dessert, let me start by saying that my mama is the best.  Not only is she wonderfully supportive and loving and kind and talented, but she’s also probably the number one reader and commenter on this blog.  So when I realized how wildly popular her dessert shots were at the bridal shower that I hosted earlier this month, I realized that I had to share them here and give her credit where it is deserved.

Also, I want to come clean and admit that the rest of the desserts that you see on the table are totally lazy.  The cupcakes were from a box with frosting was from a can {and a few drops of food coloring}, the cake balls were a derivative of this ol’ recipe, the pretzels were just dipped in colored chocolate, and I bought the baby bundt cakes here.  My mama was the only one who did something creative for the dessert table and she wasn’t even actually hosting the shower.  Because she’s da bomb.  And I’m a bad little food blogger.

My mama, like me, is a simplifier.  And a no-bake lady.  She takes the complicated recipes and turns them into a better, easier version.  Which is totally the case with this seriously easy, totally adorable, and delectably delicious dessert.  Not only are these things a perfectly yummy dessert, but they look too cute sitting on the table.  And there’s no hot oven required.

Ok, enough of me, let’s get to the recipe.

  6. Continue layering until you reach the top, finish with mousse and sprinkle with granola

Mama wasn’t sure where the original recipe came from, but if you know, or if it’s yours, let me know!  We always want to give credit where credit is due!
